Clever Hands Project
JOY helped Dr Maria Petho and her inspired team to set up this interdenominational day care centre for youngsters with physical and/or mental disabilities.
How it works
We funded the buying, renovation and extension of a house which now provides a daily programme of physiotherapy, craft and art workshops as well as spiritual teaching and fellowship.

The change in these young people, in improving their capabilities, their self confidence, mental stability and spiritual growth is quite miraculous. To enter the centre is to find hope and a warmth that is very moving: it is our home from home and we are welcomed with open arms. To see their care for each other, and their love for their dedicated carers and teachers, is very humbling. JOY provides funds, art and craft supplies, and equipment and supplies from wheelchairs to incontinence pads.
Sports day with able bodied friends.

The carers and teachers take young people to their sports day. It's a great day out and fun is had by all. This kind of exercise is invaluble both physical welfare and spiritual welfare
They enjoy this day and cannot wait for the next event.
Being outside is as important as all the other activities that the centre runs.
