JOY Harvest/Christmas appeal & FAMILY FOOD PARCELS
Dear Friends,
Thank you for your help and support in the past with gifts of Harvest food and Christmas boxes for needy people in Romania. We are very grateful for your support, and hope you will feel able to join our appeal to help the needy once again.
Inflation in real living terms mean increased hardship for many of Romania’s poor, especially for the elderly, as a pension is as low as £10 per month which barely covers electricity and rent. Often old people are malnourished, without any food in their poor homes, depending on a kindly neighbour.
Life for the destitute, street children, the sick and the elderly is a struggle; especially in winter, as temperatures drop to 35 and 40 degrees below freezing. A food parcel can be life saving, and is certainly very welcome. If you are able to help with gifts of dried food it would be a great help, but either family food parcels (see enclosed leaflet), or dried food for the soup kitchens are welcome.
If you can HELP!
If you are able to help with gifts of dried food it would be a great help. Either family food parcels (see enclosed leaflet), or dried food for the soup kitchens.

Please stick to these items. All items must be dated April 2009 or later. Donations of money are very welcome as we can buy in Romania, boosting business and saving transport costs.
Goods can be delivered to the warehouse (which is a great help, but please ring beforehand), or charity shops 4/6 Westgate, Shipley (closed Wednesdays) and 89 Main Street Bingley, (closed Tuesdays) otherwise both open Monday to Friday 10 until 4.
I can collect larger amounts in a van. I am happy to give an illustrated talk about our work, and the people we help, both for your information and interest, and as a thank you for any help you can give us.
